How it started:

My name is Lori Baker and I became a wedding officiant quite serendipitously when a young couple from Germany- who hired me to cater their reception- found out that the officiant they had selected had to back out. Yikes! I called around hoping to find another officiant to hire, but as fate would have it, they were all booked. 

Anna and Robbie scheduled a telephone chat with me to discuss the menu and timeline and then asked if I would be their officiant. I was so touched and honored and after some research and online paperwork, I got ordained. So the answer was….yes!

When Anna found out I was a meditation teacher she asked me if I would start the ceremony with a short mindfulness meditation to which I happily agreed to do. It was a beautiful ceremony and the guests thanked me afterwards. This was the start of Say I Do Ceremonies.

We are the sister company to Super Edible Events and I have been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years creating unique dining experiences, planning corporate events and catering weddings. 

I am an attuned officiant and committed to crafting a fully customized wedding ceremony that incorporates your beliefs and values, which include traditions or rituals, that represent you best.

I am a certified integrative health coach, a certified meditation teacher and currently studying Divine Feminine Ayurveda teachings.

I work with each couple to create a truly custom and authentic ceremony that represents their love story. After all, the ceremony is the start of the celebration! From sand ceremonies to handfasting ceremonies to starting with a short meditation to reading poetry- it is all possible. The joy begins with crafting the ceremony and I will guide you through the process. I will make your ceremony sound like your best friend is telling your love story.
